Honeymoon

Thanks to Renee's hard work and amazing research, Tyler and I are going to have an amazing honeymoon. We will be staying at Koro Makawa Resort. This resort is absolutely amazing! The resort only takes one customer at a time, so we will have the entire place to ourselves! Everything I have heard about the resort makes me more and more excited for our honeymoon.

A little peak of what we have to look forward to:
· Transportation to and from the Airport by our resort boat
· Reception at the Kadavu Airport by staff with fresh fruit and beverages and refreshing lime scented towelette.
· Greeting upon arrival at the Resort by staff
· Presented with (Fijian Salu Salu) wreath of flowers
· Formal invitation to traditional Kava ceremony
· Champagne & chocolate in room
· Fillet Mignon and Lobster dinner surrounded by tiki torches serenaded by Fijian musicians.
· Wine or beer with dinner
· All meals, snacks and juices
· Traditional Fijian Meke (dance)
· Romantic picnic on nearby uninhabited island
· Snorkeling with Manta Rays (1st trip only)
· Snorkeling at the coral park. Short boat ride, all trips included
· All activities – Kayaking, hiking, snorkeling and diving equipment
· Presentation of small keepsake
· Fijian Farewell song.

2010

Wow…I am a horrible blogger. I can never seem to sit down and write a blog. Tyler and I had a busy holiday season! We went on our “Practice Honeymoon” to Bonaire and returned with just enough time to spare to move into our new house and start the Christmas madness. We spent Christmas Eve with Ross side of the family and enjoyed a low key Christmas Eve dinner with both sets of Tyler’s Grandparents. Christmas day was spent with the Ballini’s. Wade was so excited to open all of his gifts from Santa, Frosty, Mommy, and Grandma and Grandpa. I figured that Wade would get enough toys to last him a life time, so Tyler and I gave Wade a weekend with his favorite aunt and uncle. When we are have Wade for the weekend we are going to take him to the Children’s Museum in Salem and let him go wild. I can’t wait for our weekend of fun!  The day after Christmas was spent with the Sanetel side of the family. We were able to visit with some relatives that we never get to see enough of and enjoy some scrumptious Italian food. After the Christmas madness settled down, Tyler and I retreated to amazing new home in Lebanon.

New Years was spent celebrating my Grandpa’s 89th Birthday at Olive Garden in Eugene. It was great to sit down and dine with almost the entire Jeffers clan. Grandpa looked like he was having the time of his life. After the celebration, my favorite cousin in the world and her family spent the night at our house and we rang in the New Year by play Wii.

On New Year started off on the right foot. On January 11th, Tyler and I welcomed our 2nd nephew to the family. Weston Ivan Anthony Ballini was born at 5:25 PM. We are so excited to have another nephew in our family and look forward to spend a lot of time with him in the future.

All in all…2010 is going to be a great year! I am most excited about marrying the love of my life and start our lives “officially” together. 2009 was a wild ride, but I have a feeling 2010 is only going to be wilder!

New House

We finally signed all of the papers and now we are officially home owners. Tyler and I are so excited to start moving and make this new house into our first home. We have so much stuff to move, but we are hoping to have it all moved before we go on our practice honeymoon. :) Wish us luck!

Life in the Fast Lane

Wow! This fall is flying by! It seems like just yesterday Tyler and I were on the hunt for the perfect first house for us. Now, we are one week away from closing on an absolutely amazing house! We are so excited to have our first home together. Wedding wise we have booked our venue, photographer, florist, and photographer. I have started looking at dress and will be starting that search after my life settles down, probably after the first of the year. :)

Tyler and I leave for our "practice honeymoon" in 20 days! We are going to Bonaire, which is located by Aruba. We haven't been to this island yet, but have vacationed in Curacao, which is one island over from Bonaire. We are looking forward to the sand in our toes and some amazing scuba diving. We will be gone until Dec. 10. Can't wait for the 80 degree weather! Bring on the sunshine and SPF!

T-Minus 365 Days

So with the wedding exactly a year away, I thought that I would make a list of my wedding related accomplishments so far.
  • Venue - We will be having our ceremony and reception at Log House Garden's in Salem.
  • Date - Pretty obvious. 8.28.2010
  • Colors - Pink and green. Although those are not set in stone.
  • Guest List - Going strong at 260 people right now.
  • Catering - McKillips Catering
  • Attendants - Have all been selected, but I have yet to ask my bridesmaids. :)
  • Tyler's wedding gift - All picked out.
Overall, a lot of the major decisions have been made, but there are many left still.

Our negative-one-year anniversary!

365 days from now, I will be marrying the love of my life and my best friend. Today marks a monumental occasion, because August 28th from this day on, will be one of great memories. As my wedding is still a year a way, I get more and more excited about being married to Tyler. Our love develops one day at a time and will continue to grow our lifetime.

Unfortunately, we both had to work today. So we are celebrating our anniversary with a nice dinner and a stroll in downtown Corvallis.

Lots of Love,

Sarah

PS - Only 365 days to go!
